Hakko Support Terms and Conditions

Hakko Support (“Service”) is an information query system for partners, operated by Hakko Corporation (“Company”).

It is recommended to use Service with Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 or later, or the latest version of Microsoft Edge, Safari, Chrome or Firefox. Service may not be available or function properly with an environment other than the above. You need to have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to view a PDF file with Service.

Please agree and accept these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) before using Service. Customers who have registered as users (“User”) shall be entitled to use Service in compliance with Terms and Conditions.

In the user registration process, Company acquires User’s personal information including its name, workplace, organization name, and contact information. Company handles such personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please read it in "http://www.hakko.com/english/privacy_policy/" prior to the registration.

Article 1 (Scope)

Terms and Conditions govern User’s any relationship with Company for using Service.

Article 2 (User Registration)

User is required to register with Service prior to the use (User registration). When Company considers that the User falls under any of the following cases, such registration request may not be approved, and Company has no obligation to disclose reasons for such decision.

  • when false statement is made in application of User registration,
  • application from a person who has previously violated Terms and Conditions,
  • Company who has applied for User Registration has no history of business with Company, and
  • any other grounds that Company may find inappropriate for User Registration.

Article 3 (Scope of User)

Only the customers of Company, or directors and employees of a partner company approved by Company may register with Service in accordance with the preceding article. Any other persons are prohibited to logging in or accessing to Service.

Article 4 (User ID and Password Administration)

User shall be responsible to manage its User ID and password for Service. Company shall assume that log-in with a combination of User ID and password that match with registered information at Company as legitimate use of Service by the User who is registered under such User ID.

Article 5 (Prohibited Actions)

User is prohibited from the following when accessing to Service:

  • violation of laws and regulations, and public order and morality,
  • violation of contents of Service, as well as copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights in Service,
  • any acts that destroy or interrupt any function of Company’s servers or network,
  • any acts that may interrupt operation of Company’s service,
  • sales, promotion, advertisement, solicitation and other acts for commercial purposes (excluding instances with a prior written approval by Company),
  • any other acts to use Service for purposes other than originally designed for Service,
  • any acts to delegate User ID in contravention of Article 11、
  • illegal access and/or acts to attempt such illegal access,
  • any acts that benefit anti-social forces directly or indirectly in relation to Service, and
  • other acts determined inappropriate by Company.

Article 6 (Interruption of the Service)

Company may interrupt or suspend all or a part of Service without a prior notice to User when Company determines any of the followings;

  • when performing maintenance or update to a computer system used in Service,
  • when the Service is unavailable due to earthquake, lighting, fire, blackout, and force majeure including natural disasters,
  • when a computer or communication network stops from accident, and
  • other instances that Company finds difficult to provide Service.

2.Company shall not be held responsible for any disadvantage or damage against User or a third party caused from interruption or suspension of Service.

Article 7 (Limitation of Use and Cancellation of Registration)

Company may limit use of all or a part of Service, or cancel registration of User without a prior notice when the User falls under any of the following cases;

  • violation of any of the provisions hereof,
  • when false statement is made in application of user registration,
  • when petition for commencement of insolvency, civil rehabilitation, corporate reorganization or special liquidation is made,
  • when no response is made for over thirty days against Company’s request to response,
  • any acts applicable to each of Article 2,
  • when the User registration condition stipulated in the Article 3 is not met, and
  • Any other grounds that Company may find inappropriate for use of the Service.

2. When any of the preceding paragraph is applied, all obligations of User to Company shall be accelerated and the entire amount becomes immediately due and payable.

3. Company shall not be held responsible for any damage to User incurred from any acts by Company based on paragraph 1 hereof.

Article 8 (Disclaimer of Warranty)

Company disclaims all express or implied warranties (including safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, fitness for a particular purpose, defect, error or bug pertaining to security, and infringement of rights).

2. Company shall not be held responsible for any damage to User incurred from Service, and

3.Company shall not be held responsible for any transaction, communication or conflict etc. incurred between User and other User or a third party pertaining to Service.

Article 9 (Changes to the Service)

Company may change contents of Service or discontinue Service without a notice to User, and shall not be held responsible for any damage caused to the User.

Article 10 (Amendment to Terms and Conditions)

Company may amend Terms and Conditions without a specific notice to User when Company finds it necessary. Use of Service following such amendment constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions as amended.

Article 11 (No assignment)

User shall not delegate or lien status for User Agreement including User ID and any of its rights and obligations of the Terms and Conditions.

Article 12 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Japan. 2. In relation to any legal action or proceedings arising from or in connection with Service, User and Company irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court, where Company’s headquarter is located, in Japan.
